Mediterranean Editors and Translators Meeting 2019
The annual Mediterranean Editors and Translators Meeting (METM), now in its 15th year, is an established CPD and networking event – a highlight in the calendar for many editors, translators, interpreters and other providers of English-language support services in the Mediterranean area and beyond.
Under the theme “Make it count: communicating with clarity and concision” the 2019 meeting will be held on September 26-28 at the School of Medicine and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Split, Croatia. This year MiRoR is an organizing partner of the event and four of our fellows are delivering a presentation:
- Cecilia Superchi – Measuring the quality of peer review reports in biomedical research
- Ketevan Glonti – Editors’ perspectives on the peer review process in biomedical journals – disentangling communication issues and understanding roles and tasks of stakeholders involved
- Melissa Sharp – Researchers’ attitudes to, and experiences with, the STROBE reporting guideline: an online survey
- David Blanco – Editorial interventions to improve transparency of randomized controlled trials
