The first MiRoR network meeting, organised by the University of Ghent in collaboration with the University Paris Descartes, successfully took place on October 17-18, 2016 with a great participation from the consortium: all beneficiaries, research fellows (ESRs) and 8 out of 10 international partners were represented, for a total of 43 participants.

The meeting was the occasion for the consortium to discuss face-to-face after the hectic period of the recruitment of research fellows and the draft of the doctoral agreements and to agree on a common strategic workplan for the coming months, especially concerning students’ supervision, preparation of deliverables and upcoming meetings. It was also the occasion for beneficiaries and partners to meet for the first time the 15 newly recruited MiRoR research fellows.

This meeting was followed by a three day hands-on training event which provided essentials skills and knowledge to early stage researchers. Focusing on advanced methods of Research on Research, the training included protocol writing, data management, reproducibility and avoiding statistical concepts misinterpretation (see PPT presentations).
