The COMET Initiative is working to improve the quality of health care by facilitating the preparation of core outcome sets which could be used in research, including randomised trials and systematic reviews, in a specific topic area.

The sixth COMET meeting will be held in Amsterdam on 10-11 November 2016. The programme will provide opportunities for individuals interested in the development and application of core outcome sets across different areas of health and social care to share ideas and learn more. Registration for the meeting is free and is now open, but the number of spaces is limited. This may mean that registration will have to close before November and, so, the meeting is being publicised widely now with an encouragement to register early to avoid disappointment.
